MACS RELOADS, .38 Special, Plated Hollow Point TCJ Bullet. MACS RELOADED AMMUNITION: Reloaded .38 Special with Rainier 125 Grain Plated Hollow Point Bullets. This is a low to medium recoil target load. Most shooters associate hollow point bullets with self defense ammunition or hunting cartridges. This is not the case with the Rainier Hex Hollow Point bullet. This ammuntion is manufactured specifically for target shooting and is acceptable for matches where a hollow point is required such as PPC and Action Pistol. Like all of our quality reloaded ammunition, we recommend that you not use this ammunition in firearms manufactured by Rubbermaid, Tupperware, Glock or Mattel. . This ammunition is loaded with Rainier Plated Bullets. Rainier Bullets are made with a fairly soft swaged lead core, plated, sized and then resized again to give them an excellent finish and top notch performance. This is target grade ammunition and is not meant for self defense applications. Velocity and recoil are moderate making them fun to shoot as well as economical. Rainier bullets feature a lead core that is completely covered by copper plating. They are resized after being plated with approximately 0.004" of copper plating. This unique design makes them suitable for most indoor ranges, which often require the use of bullets with no exposed lead. The base is slightly concave to maximize the bullet to bore seal.
