This ammunition is loaded with Remington 148 Grain Hollow Base Swaged Wadcutter bullets.  The normal diameter for a .38 Caliber Lead bullet is .357 - .358 inches.  The Swaged Hollow Base projectile specifications are closer to the 9 Millimeter bullet, measuring .356 inches in diameter.  When this bullet is fired, the gas pressure causes the hollow base to expand, increasing the diameter of the base of the bullet resulting in excellent accuracy.  This is why this is a favorite among competition shooters.  The low recoil, exceptional accuracy and economic price make this one of our most popular cartridges.
