MACS RELOADED AMMUNITION:  Reloaded .38 Special ammunition with a hard cast 148 Grain Double Ended Full Wadcutter Bullet.  This is a low recoil target round designed to function in revolvers as well as the Smith and Wesson Model 52 Semi Automatic Pistol and other custom .38 Special Semi Auto's.  Still very popular in Bullseye Competition, the .38 Special Semiautomatic is designed specifically for this cartridge with magazines set up for ammunition with the entire  projectile recessed into the cartridge case.  This cartridge is a favorite among shooters wanting to enjoy shooting a pleasant low recoil round that provides easy target scoring.  The low recoil also makes this round ideal for training new shooters.   Like all of our quality reloaded ammunition, we recommend that you not use this ammunition in firearms manufactured by Rubbermaid, Tupperware, Glock or Mattel. 

This .38 Special, 148 Grain hard cast Double Ended Full Wadcutter ammunition uses an Magma hard cast bullet manufactured with new virgin casting alloy.  The bullet is sized to .358 dia and lubricated with Magma Red Bullet Lubricant.  Our bullet alloy is made to order using 92 percent lead, 4 percent tin and 4 percent antimony.  This alloy combined with the excellent lubrication properties of Magma Bullet Lube creates an excellent bullet hard enough to prevent leading in most ammunition applications.  Most target shooters prefer a lead cast bullet due to increased accuracy.  The only drawback to cast lead bullets is increased smoke when shooting due to the burning of the bullet lubricant, however the increased  accuracy of cast lead bullets usually outweighs the inconvenience of having to clean your pistol.  Mac's Reloads carries a large selection of cast bullets for the reloader including the .38 Caliber 148 Grain Lead Double Ended Full Wadcutter.  These bullets are available from us at gunshows as well as via direct shipment for those ordering over the phone.  Lead bullets are packaged in boxes of 500 and mailed using USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail.
